Following Henry Cavill’s official exit as Superman in the DC Universe, the fate of Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman remains uncertain as the actress has yet to respond about the Amazonian character that she has played thrice.
Despite the uncertainties as reported by The Direct, revealed that the Wonder Woman star is set to return to the Fast & Furious movie franchise in their next installment – Fast X (also known as Fast & Furious 10).
Gal last appeared in the franchise back in 2013’s Fast & Furious 6 as Gisele Yashar, the love interest of Han, a character played by Sung Kang.
The character of Gisele, however, died in Fast 6 in an attempt to save Han, so it is still unclear how the character is set to make her return in the next installment of the Fast & Furious movie.
After Fast 6, Gal has starred in many leading roles such as Wonder Woman, Red Notice, Death on the Nile, as well as Zak Snyder’s Justice League over the past few years. But it’s safe to say that her role as Gisele Yashar somewhat launched her career and fame in the industry.
Faking her own death?
If you’re a hardcore fan of the Fast franchise, you’ll know that Gisele is not the only one “returning from the dead.” Her love interest, Han, was apparently “killed” in the post-credits scene of Fast 6, during the event of Tokyo Drift.
However, Han later returned in Fast 9, revealed to be alive and well as he faked his death with the help of Mr. Nobody.
Will Gal Gadot’s character follow in the same footsteps? We can only find out when Fast X hits theatres in May 2023, or perhaps when the trailer is released, if the production team is generous enough to hint about Gisele’s return in the future trailer.
Aside from Gal Gadot, all original cast members are also expected to return, with Jason Momoa, who played Aquaman in the DC Universe set to star in Fast X as the main villain, known as Dante. Jason described his villainous character as “a very sadistic guy,” according to Variety.
Fans of the Fast franchise, are you excited about Gal’s return in the next movie? What are your “theories” about her return?
