A continuous heavy downpour that started last night caused flash floods in multiple areas this morning (April 11), which led to heavy congestion when many were commuting to work.
A viral video by Renjer Izzat, which was shared by Astro Radio Traffic, shows massive congestion near the West Puchong toll heading toward USJ/Hicom. The video was taken at 6:30 AM this morning, and according to the caption of the video, authorities were also present for traffic control.

In another circulating video by Ahmad Kelang, the flood situation is shown to be equally bad in other areas in Puchong, affecting many households in areas like Kampung Bersatu and Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru, where floodwater has flowed into the houses.
“Part of the cars were also submerged in floodwater,” says Ahmad.

A Facebook post by Joseph Lim at 10 AM today also revealed that the traffic from Puchong Intan toward Subang is severely congested.
Other areas in Klang, Shah Alam, and Petaling were also hit by flash floods
In a couple of videos on Facebook, as of 8:45 AM today, drivers in Sri Muda, Shah Alam had to navigate the affected area carefully as they braced through the floodwater.
Padang Jawa in Shah Alam was also hit, forcing many families to vacate their houses. According to the Selangor Fire & Rescue Department, at least 20 houses are affected, and they are setting up temporary evacuation centers (PPS) for the affected families.

In the Petaling district, the Putra Heights Mosque has been set up as the PPS for the affected households after the floodwater rose as high as 2 feet, reported Astro Awani.Â
Another report by Berita Harian also shows heavy congestion near the Wyndham Hotel in Klang, where drivers were stuck at the traffic light due to the flood.
