On the lookout for amazingly crafted artisanal French desserts and wholesome meals? Look no further than Limóne, a European-inspired cafe in the heart of Bukit Damansara which recently celebrated its launch.
The cafe recently invited us to experience an Italian summer as we dined beneath a lush lemon tree, which was the centrepiece of the cafe.
Inspired by the beauty of an Italian garden, the picturesque cafe is decorated in tones of bright yellow and earthy green with a signature neon green Limóne signage hanging on a leafy wall as lemon tree leaves swayed in the wind making it perfect for the ‘gram.
We were taken on a culinary journey as we savoured everything from signature items from Limóne’s daily menu, their delightful desserts and their refreshing drinks.
To start off our meal, we were treated to their Sweet & Spicy Tempeh (RM16). The pairing of sweet and spicy along with the crispy tempeh made it a light of flavourful dish to start with.
For mains, we ordered their Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict (RM36) and their highly recommended Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Pasta (RM38).
Their Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict paired a brioche bun, mushroom, roasted tomato, smoked salmon, poached egg and signature hollandaise sauce. We loved how well the hollandaise sauce paired with the smoked salmon and brioche bun in an explosion of taste!
Meanwhile, their Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Pasta combined squid ink pasta with mixed seafood such as massive prawns, mussels and clams all in a delicious, spicy yellow curry sauce. The creaminess of the sauce made each bite extra flavourful especially when eaten with the massive assortment of seafood.
For drinks, we tried their Princess Peach (RM16), a combination of white peach puree, lychee, mint leaves and soda as well as our personal favourite, their E&T (RM15) which paired tonic water, lemon juice and espresso to make it the perfect refreshing summer drink.
Although we were pretty full from the mains, we made room to try 3 of their French desserts which were The Kebaya, Pink Pistache and Coco Noisette. Each of the 3 had its own distinctive profile and flavours of fruit, cream, chocolate and pistachio!
We then washed it down with their Cocoa Treats (RM20) which was Valrhona hot chocolate served with whipped cream, caramel sauce and marshmallows. The glass included a chocolate dome which melted as we poured the hot chocolate, making it an extra sinful treat for chocolate lovers out there.
Limóne is located among the corporate offices at Plaza Zurich in Bukit Damansara and is open from 9:00am to 6:00pm on Tuesdays to Sundays.
It was founded by entrepreneur Sherina Binwani and Chef Tee Jiunn Hoong, Limóne opened in September 2022 after a partnership born through their shared interest in baking which grew during the pandemic.
They are also currently offering a special Christmas menu which includes a delectable array of Christmas cookies and cupcakes, log cakes, English fruit cake, mulled wine brownies and various shaped gingerbread cookies.
