Animal cruelty has sadly been on the rise lately. While we can’t always be there to prevent these attacks on our beloved furry friends, we can help by contributing what we can when the situation calls for it. And this is one of those times.

Recently, a dog was found severely injured and left for dead at a garbage dump in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The poor doggo was in a critical condition as he had suffered many beatings on his head, to the point where his skull was even fractured! What kind of monster would do such a thing?

Thankfully, the doggo was rescued by the volunteers at the Shelter of Hope Penampang. But it still needs all the help it can get from public donations to ensure that his injuries are treated for.

According to Sin Chew Daily, the leader of the animal rescue team, who goes by the name of Roslee, was alerted by a street vendor when he found a pink sack at a garbage dump that was covered with blood.

Weak barks could be heard from inside the sack, and it gradually attracted a crowd. The sack was cut open and the dog was found, bloody and barely breathing. A broken wooden stick was found nearby the sack and is suspected to be the abuser’s weapon.

The doggo was named Jimmy by the veterinarian it was brought to. Jimmy had lost copious amounts of blood from his injuries, and his skull fracture was discovered after X-rays in the veterinary clinic revealed the severity of Jimmy’s condition.

Although the doctor recommended that Jimmy be euthanized to avoid further suffering, Roslee wanted to give the poor doggo another shot at life under proper treatment and care.

While Jimmy is currently being closely monitored by the veterinarian, Roslee is outraged and wants to bring this dog abuser to justice, saying, “it’s so irritating when such inhumane, cruel abandonment and violence [happens].”

We urge all netizens to help Jimmy to ensure that his injuries will be taken care of immediately! Presently, his medical expenses amount to a total of RM1200. Netizens are urged to lend a helping hand by donating through the following methods:

Bank transfer: CIMB BANK BERHAD -Roslee Abbas: 1002-0069629-52-9

PayPal: HEARTKK

All receipts can be transferred to 0198623314: DONATE-JIMMY. Roslee can be reached via email at rosleeabbas@yahoo.com.

Witnesses of dog abuse cases have also been urged to come forward to provide further information so action can be taken against these offenders. You can contact Roslee via the number 019-862 3314.

Even donating just a little could go a long way in saving this doggo’s life! Let’s do our part in making this world a safer, better place.
