While it is rather inconvenient to cancel a GrabFood order at the last minute, especially for the delivery personnel, it can also be considered a waste of food. This delivery guy, however, decided to do some good after getting notified of a cancelled food order he had already purchased.
A post shared on the Facebook group, GrabFood Delivery Rider Singapore, has recently gained some attention among netizens. The post featured a photo of a homeless man eating food out of a GrabFood delivery bag. The caption reads,
“Customer (cancelled their) order so we plan to give to homeless people who need (the food). Today we help people and another day, people will help us. #Provision should not be rejected.”
The post soon received a lot of praise from netizens, who commended the delivery man on giving the food to someone in need instead of just returning or disposing of it.
The homeless community often goes unnoticed in Singapore, as many of them are employed but do not earn enough to afford homes and basic necessities.
However, it is great to see that more people are helping others in need! What do you think of this Facebook post? Let us know in the comments below.
