In his press conference today, Defence Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that despite most states in Peninsular Malaysia are under the CMCO, some states have shown a decrease in cases and managed to get the Covid-19 situation under control.

These states that will no longer be under CMCO starting tomorrow (21 November) are:

  1. Kedah (except for Kulim)
  2. Melaka
  3. Johor (except for Kota Tinggi and Mersing)
  4. Terengganu

Except for the districts mentioned, the states will now be under the Recovery Movement Control Order. The minister added that if there’s a decrease in the number of cases, the RMCO will end there as well. This decision was made after observing that there were no longer active and sporadic cases.
