With the government’s announcement that fully vaccinated people in the Klang Valley can start dining in at restaurants again, many of us are looking forward to finally eat out again.

But at the same time, there are many more that are aching to be out but are hesitant or even worried about health and safety. We don’t blame you.

Perhaps it would make you feel slightly more at ease to know that some eateries have implemented extra measures such as having fully vaccinated staff and frequent testing, to name a few.

So, whether it is date night or a treat for yourself and your family, here is a list of eateries where you can have a good time while feeling safe dining out again:

 

#1 – Tamarind Springs, Ampang

 

Literally a breath of fresh air, Tamarind Springs serves traditional Indochinese cuisine with a view of tropical greenery all around you making it one of the most romantic and aesthetically pleasing restaurants for a meal with a loved one.

Tamarind Springs exclusively told WORLD OF BUZZ that in order to ensure the safety and comfort of their customers, they have taken measures such as:

  • having fully vaccinated staff,
  • staff testing every two weeks,
  • taking advantage of the naturally spacious premise to ensure social distancing purposes,
  • alfresco concept (without walls) which provides better air circulation for guests

After being cooped up at home for a long time, Tamarind Springs will be a great change of scenery to be around nature and fresh air while having a good time with your partner or family.

#2 – Huckleberry, Damansara Heights and Bangsar

On their social media pages, Huckleberry announced that they’re re-opening for dine-in at both of their branches which are in Damansara Heights and Bangsar.

The local artisan bakery and café which serves fresh pastries, wholesome bread, rustic cakes, nourishing food and drinks said that they would uphold best practices of cleanliness and hygiene as well as ensure that all of their frontline service team are fully vaccinated and have been cleared of the 14 days grace period since their second dose.

#3 – Botanica+Co, Bangsar South

 

Botanic inspired restaurant Botanica+Co is an outdoor dining amidst lush greenery themed eatery that serves a range of hearty food and great drinks. They announced on their social media pages that since they are remaining cautious about the reopening of dining in, they will only open the restaurant for outdoor dining for the time being.

“Botanica+Co is now open at our Bangsar South outlet, with only fully vaccinated staff on the roster,” said the post.

Furthermore, they said that all cleanliness and sanitisation routines have been stepped up and that employees will go through randomised testing on a daily basis.

#4 – The Hungry Tapir, Chinatown

The vegan and vegetarian restaurant with a full-service bar located in Chinatown, Kuala Lumpur recently announced on their social media pages that they will be opening for fully vaccinated customers to dine in.

In their post, they also explained that the entire team is fully vaccinated and that it has been more than 14 days since their vaccination.

Furthermore, the restaurant has disinfected its space before it officially reopened.

#5 – Jibby & Co, Subang Jaya

 

Pan Asian cuisine and western breakfast favourites Jibby & Co recently announced its reopening for fully vaccinated diners via Jibby Group’s social media pages.

Jibby Group which also includes other restaurants such as Jibby Chow, Jibby By The Park and Jibby East said in its post that they would ensure that only staff who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to serve customers. Jibby & Co offers amazing food in a beautiful two-storey building that perfectly ties in nature and modernity.

#6 – Peko Peko, Taman Tun Dr Ismail

Modern and futuristic themed Japanese restaurant, Peko Peko has also announced its reopening via social media pages.

The restaurant which serves authentic Japanese cuisine such as donburi, yakitori, sushi, sashimi and many more said that “Our team has all completed the course of immunisation. As always, our safety and hygiene measures are strictly enforced and stringent SOP measures will be implemented to ensure you feel safe dining in with us.”

#7 – The Sticky Wicket, Damansara Heights

English cricket themed pub, The Sticky Wicket which serves classic grub such as burgers, pizza and full English breakfast announced its reopening on social media pages.

In their post, they said that the pub will be reopening and have taken measures such as ensuring all staff are fully vaccinated as well as reconfiguring dining areas and spaces to ensure social distancing.
