Dashcam Captures SUV Intentionally Running Over Lorry Driver in Kajang Before Fleeing, 73yo & 65yo Arrested

Dashcam footage shared by a TikTok user has been going around online showing a lorry driver getting hit in a hit-and-run after a black SUV rammed him off to the side of the road.

Since then, a married couple has been arrested to help with the investigation into the case in Bandar Teknologi Kajang, as reported by Sinar Harian.

He was left injured and unable to move

Kajang District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof, said a 63-year-old woman reported the incident at 4:54 PM on March 2 (Sunday).

She explained that around noon on February 28 (Friday), her 42-year-old son called to say he’d been hit by a vehicle, leaving him injured and unable to move.

“The victim’s mother then rushed to the scene and took him to the hospital for further treatment,” he said.

He was dragged onto the road divider

Naazron explained that the footage showed a black vehicle deliberately hitting the victim as he stepped out of his lorry, dragging him onto the road divider before the driver fled.

He further stated that at 11:15 PM on Sunday, a local couple, aged 73 and 65, was arrested to assist in the investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer, Inspector Mohd Hizwan Hamzah, at 019-6369835 to assist with the investigation.

The case is being investigated under Sections 307 and 279 of the Penal Code.
