Recently, Jaclyn Ying from Singapore got married and during the delightful occasion that marks the end of her single life, the supposedly professional photographer she hired to capture the beautiful moments of her wedding.. well, failed to do so.
In fact, the pictures that the photographer took may even compare similarly to what your grandma could’ve taken!
Jaclyn who received her wedding day pictures went into a whirlwind of emotions; anger, sadness and eventually, she was a good sport about it. The bride shared a post on Facebook of the pictures that were so bad, it’ll make your tummy hurt.
Her post got shared over 19,200 times on Facebook with netizens expressing their apologies for the incident at the same time share her pain in laughter.
Unlike most people who would condemn the business for ruining her perfect day, Jaclyn decided to look at the brighter side of things and posted the images for the internet to laugh together.
Jaclyn wrote:
“So, what do you do when you finally receive your actual wedding day photos and find yourself sorely disappointed in them?
Get angry? Check.
Shed a few tears over them? Done.
Post some of the best (of the worst) on social media for amusement? Absolutely!
Here’s the lowdown – we got one of those “bao ka liao” wedding packages that included actual day photography from a pretty reputable bridal shop. Before we signed on, we were told that while we couldn’t choose our photographer, the standard of the talent pool was consistent. Naturally (and being Singaporean), we asked, “sure annot”. And were promptly shown a portfolio of actual day photos.
They looked alright, and so we signed on thinking, “okay la hor, how bad can they be.”
It’s bad guys. Like, first-date-and-you-clog-the-toilet-with-your-pangsai bad. Or, trust-a-fart-and-a-bit-of-poop-comes-out bad. (I’m not saying any of those things happened to me before)
Anyway, we’re looking for some redress from the shop at the moment, but nothing is going to take away the fact that our wedding photos by this dude are pretty much ruined. What’s more, he was our only “pro” photog for that day. This stag worked solo, man.
Don’t take this the wrong way though – this is not a flame and shame post. We just wanted to share some of these hilariously bad photos with everyone, so sorry ar if your unglam face is in this.
I sumpah/swear I never do any extra edits to the photos. Everything here (colour, lighting, cropping etc) is “as is” from the DVD the bridal shop gave us.”
Check out the images a supposed “professional” wedding photographer took!
She swears that she did not edit or alter any of the images given to her. They were all purely the photographer’s work. We must say, the photographer has a unique taste in beauty and edits.
Jalcyn jokingly apologises to her friends for any unglam photos she might’ve posted with them in it!
It’s true that these pictures were horrible. Some of the edits that the photographer made will make you downright speechless. Luckily Jaclyn and her husband got their happy ending after all as 987FM surprised her by throwing her a second one-in-a-lifetime experience. Oh the irony.
They had her hair done by Salon Vim, make-up by Kazumi – makeup artist, wedding gown by Z Wedding D’sign and we’re going to loan her Gerald Koh’s car to give her the experience she deserves.
Facebook user, Philip Tan who stumbled upon her pictures couldn’t help but enlighten the mood by putting his own twist to it.
He says, “Hi Jaclyn, sorry to hear your photos turned out so disappointing. I do believe the photog didn’t have time to complete the concepts. I’m pretty sure this is what he envisioned. Just call it a sixth sense, or gut feeling. I’m quite sure this was what he was going for. Enjoy!”
We’re glad that everything turned out as smiles and are happy her marriage celebration didn’t just end at the bad photos!
