Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour 2023 left an indelible mark on Kuala Lumpur, providing a magical night for everyone. While many of us may not know is the aftermath that unfolded before the show.
@leenlawa took to TikTok to share her perspective, recounting her experience of taking the train from work on the night of the Coldplay concert. Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, she explained that it happened at Sg Besi LRT which was one station away from Bukit Jalil.
She revealed that the queue leading to the LRT was already in bad condition to which she vividly painted a picture of what she called “a sea of people”. Her video captured the train, packed like sardines, with hundreds of individuals patiently waiting outside, hoping for their turn to board.
“It took us about an hour just to get onto the LRT. The train frequency is maintained at every 7 minutes.”
As she approached the train tracks, she estimated that the crowd behind her had likely extended all the way to the MRT platform. It was an unfortunate event, as the time people were leaving work coincided with the rush of concertgoers trying to make their way to the Coldplay event.
Shocked by the overwhelming number of people, netizens even commented, expressing that they had experienced a similar situation.
“Guys, this exactly what I experienced in the train yesterday.”
“If that were the case, I would have just waited in the office and headed home after 9.”
“This happened to me too yesterday.”
However, amid the busy station, she highlighted a silver lining:
“Even though the train station was packed, I noticed that everyone was still cooperating. I didn’t see anyone getting pushed or nothing like that. It’s amazing to see how Malaysians still have their ethics at the platform even though there were a lot of people.”
