RIP, Balltze! You’ll always be loved.
If you have been on the internet long enough, then you have probabaly seen memes of a handsome Shiba Inu. On 18 August 2023, Cheems Balltze, the famous Shiba Inu of the legendary meme, has passed away (not to be mistaken with Doge@Kabosumama, another Shiba Inu from Japan).
“Ball Ball fell asleep on 18/8. He fell asleep on Friday morning during his last thoracentesis surgery. Originally, we wanted to arrange chemotherapy or other possible treatment for him after this operation, but it is too late now,” the news was announced on Balltze’s official Instagram page.
The news upset a lot of fans and netizens. The owner hopes that we will not be sad, but instead remember the joy that Balltze brought to the world.
“A Shiba Inu with a round smiling face connecting you and me, he has helped many people during the pandemic and brought a lot of joy to many of you, but now his mission has completed. I believe he is running freely in the sky and having a lot of delicious food with his new friends. He will always be inside my heart. I hope he can continue to bring joy to everyone in the online world, thatâs my only humble request,” said the owner, adding that they are grateful for the medical staff who had been helping Balltze for the past six months.
In January 2023, Balltze showed signs of weakness and had been receiving medical help. Balltze’s owner also expressed gratitude towards everyone and said that Balltze knows how much he was loved.
