A Malaysian student casually admitted that they relied entirely on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for their assignments, a stark contrast to the good old days when we had to burn the midnight oil to secure high marks.
In a recent anonymous confession by a student, the person admitted to seeking help not from peers but from ChatGPT Premium, Deepseek, and Gemini to complete their coursework. The student was willing to pay for the AI tools, which allowed them to start and finish the assignments the NIGHT before the submission date.

“My lecturers tried so hard to give me a load of assignments but it didn’t bother me one bit.”
With the help of the AI tools, which also help the student with citations and references, high ‘carry marks’ were secured.
“We all got more than 50% for our carry marks. And for our final examinations, I can score A with my eyes closed. The remaining marks were only 30%.”
The student then condescended to their lecturers, whom they called “boomers” for failing to “trick and burden” them with assignments.

“Sorry kid, but the joke’s on you”
Social media users were disappointed to see the student being casual about the dishonesty in their work, and many reminded the student that while AI may help them in their coursework, the tools won’t come in handy when they need to rely on problem-solving skills at work in the future.

“Nobody’s playing you for a fool, but you just did so yourself in the long term.”
“Now that lecturers have read this confession, think about it. Who has a lot to lose here? The lecturers or the student?”
“Why would you pity your lecturers? They get paid either way. You might as well pity yourself 10 years later.”

“Now, I feel proud of myself for completing my assignments without AI. Pity yourself for being a university student but not learning anything.”
What do you think of the use of AI among students?
