Illegal use of industrial machinery

The incident occurred during a routine patrol by officers from the JPJ Bemban Enforcement Station, who spotted a forklift being driven on a public road.

Under Section 2 of the Road Transport Act 1987, forklifts are strictly prohibited from operating on public thoroughfares.

Unlicensed foreign national at the wheel

Further inspection revealed that the operator was a foreign national who did not possess a valid driving licence.

JPJ Johor shared:

“A forklift was seized for violating the prohibition on its use on public roads. It was detected during an enforcement patrol on Jalan Sawit Baru, Kulai.

“Upon inspection, the driver was identified as a foreign national without a valid licence.”
