The doors of the Apple Store at TRX finally opened on June 22 and many Malaysians were in the queue for a first look at the store.

To celebrate its opening, Apple has given out free tote bags to those who were in line. It was just a simple bag with “JOM” at the front and “Apple The Exchange TRX” on the back; it was also wrapped nicely in a box when given out.

Those who received the bag now thought it was a good idea to resell it on Carousell as it was a limited edition item.

A simple search with the keywords ‘TRX tote’ brought up a bunch of listings, with the lowest price being RM250!

Some of the sellers were adamant about their price, while others stated that the amount could be negotiated. Some sellers said that they would sell this merchandise to individuals who offered them the highest bid.

It can also be seen that many harps on about how the bag is a limited edition item, and this exclusivity is the reason behind its high price point.

As of now, no items have been sold yet.

It certainly seems a little weird to have such a huge profit margin, especially when the item is free. What is your take on this? Let us know in the comments.
