Ever imagined what the future would look like?

Well, you may experience it at this new cafe known as, Kara Kara. Located in the heart of Penang, Georgetown, the cafe puts a twist on your average eatery by having two different atmospheres. During the day, it is a cafe (ZEN) but at night, it transforms into a bar (YOTTA).

Kara Kara has caught the attention of many with its retrofuturism concept which features a re-imagined image of the 1980s and 1970s. Hence, the division of cafe and bar.

Those who want to experience this interesting concept can take it all in while enjoying a range of delectable cakes and cookies such as the Ondeh Ondeh Cake, Nike Neko Matcha S’mores Cookie and some signature beverages like Pong Crush or Coffee Soda to accompany the environment. Cafe-goers can explore the ZEN setting from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.

Whereas those who are looking for a relaxing evening with their signature cocktails and a more futuristic vibe can visit Kara Kara from 7pm to 11.30pm to experience the YOTTA setting. Once the sun sets, the cafe transforms into an atmospheric bar where patrons can sip on their drinks while taking in the modern decor that surrounds them.

A representative from Kara Kara told WORLD OF BUZZ that while it remains quite difficult to operate a cafe and bar at the same time with the decorations and the renovation, they somehow managed to bring the two starkly different vibes together for a whole new experience for their guests.
