UiTM has been allocated an additional RM20 million to produce more Electrical and Electronics (E&E) engineers.
During the tabling of Budget 2025, PMX said the allocation is to ensure Bumiputera’s participation in the semiconductor sector as a high-growth industry for the country.
In the meantime, Permodalan Nasional Berhad will also implement the MADANI Literacy Program, which involves opening free ASB accounts worth RM50 for 100,000 new students pursuing higher education.
The government is also committed to enhancing the quality of higher education institutions, and for that, a total of RM635 million has been allocated to improve infrastructure, replace outdated equipment, and expand internet access across all public universities.
