The government has allocated RM21 million for local social support centres to help women in domestic abuse households.
This initiative will be launched in collaboration with NGOs to provide social protection and moral support for women facing domestic violence, abuse and divorce. The budget also extends aid to the following groups:
- RM30 million ringgit to provide nurseries in workplaces for working mothers and frontliners.
- RM20 million ringgit to encourage private sectors to build child care service centres int heir workplace.
- RM10 million ringgit for cervical cancer screening programs and mammogram test subsidy incentives for women at high risk of contracting breast cancer.
