Yesterday, a four-year-old boy was trapped in his family’s car for around half-hour at a residence in Taman Gerbang Siputeh near Ipoh, when he accidentally locked himself in.
According to a report by Harian Metro, Batu Gajah Fire and Rescue Operations (BBP) Chief Mohd Isa Zainal said the department received a call at 12.44pm informing them of the incident and their rescue members rushed to the scene.
“Upon arrival at the scene, we found the boy locked in a Proton Saga BLM in the parking lot of the house.”
“The rescuers used special equipment to unlock the door and the victim was handed over to the family,” he said.
He also said that when the incident happened, the car was parked in the residence’s compound and the engine was turned on.
“The family got worried and immediately called bomba,” he said.
The entire rescue operation was completed within 15 minutes.
The family were getting ready to go home from their grandmother’s house when the incident occurred.
We’re happy the boy is rescued thanks to team Bomba!
