Take note, Malaysians! Crime doesn’t just happen in the streets, it could very well take place right in your living room.
With everybody spending more time at home during this precarious season, many have turned to the convenience of online shopping and delivery to buy essentials or send packages to loved ones all around the country. While this is a great way to stock up and keep in touch with everybody, netizens are advised to be vigilant as not everyone appears to be as they seem.
Pos Malaysia recently took to Facebook to issue a warning for netizens who are expecting any parcels or deliveries from the posting company this season:
Pos Malaysia’s management assured the public that requesting such classified information was against their policy and may be an attempt made by scammers to obtain personal info from customers. If you want to make sure that your parcel is being delivered, you can check this through the verified source themselves:
“If our customers are expecting any parcels or deliveries from Pos Malaysia, please use our track and trace service via our website or mobile app to track items.”
Be informed and stay alert! We don’t need any more individuals falling victim to scams-especially not during this time.
