The police are currently tracking a woman suspected of stealing jewellery worth RM41,000 from a gold shop in Kuala Pilah.
According to the statement from Kuala Pilah District Police Headquarters, The head of the Kuala Pilah District Police, Superintendent Amran Mohd Gani, mentioned that the incident took place on January 3rd at 4:05 pm. It involved a female suspect, believed to be in her 30s and a local resident.
It was reported that the suspect made off with two gold wrist chains weighing 132.75 grams, valued at RM41,085.
“The suspect was dressed in a green shirt, black trousers, wearing a headscarf, glasses, and had a black face mask.”
The incident involved the theft of these specific items, and the authorities are actively seeking any relevant information that could contribute to the apprehension of the suspect.
The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code, and if convicted, the offender could face imprisonment for a period of up to 10 years and may also be subjected to a fine.
