Army, Border Patrol Stops Ketum Smugglers Near The M’sia-Thai Border

Protecting our country against illegal activity, narcotics, human trafficking and terrorism are just some of the many tasks given to our border patrol and army officers.

Taking to social media, this netizen shared how efficient in was for the border patrol officers, in apprehending ‘ketum’ smugglers from making their way into the country with illegal substances.

Apprehending the suspects by expertly shooting off the tyres of their getaway vehicle with an M4, the tweet mentioned that the army adhered to the rules of engagement.

“By law, you are not allowed to shoot at the enemy unless fired upon.”

In the video, an overturned truck can be seen at a standstill in a nearby gutter, and both suspects are seen handcuffed at the scene.

Garnering more than 277k views and 2.6k retweets, netizens commended the army on a job well done.

Let’s hope that efforts like this, will get ample attention from the public at the importance of patrolling our borders and stopping criminals in their tracks.
