Loan sharks are getting more notorious with their games of intimidation. This time, a thug threw a petrol bomb into the porch of a house in Kepong to send a deadly and “fiery” message to a female debtor.

The arson process was also filmed by a driver waiting in the car, which was sent to the victim who lives in the rented house.

The matter was shared by Democratic Action Party (DAP)’s Lim Lip Eng, who is also the MP for Kepong. In his Facebook post today (April 14), Lim and the victim urged the police to take immediate action against the lawless perpetrators.

The victim also told Lim that she believed the thugs were hired by a Singaporean loan shark, and the video that was sent to her also came with a threat.

“The victim was told that if she does not return the money, she would be harassed every day at home. The victim has also lodged a police report,” Lim said in his post.

Lim also urged the authorities to arrest the mastermind behind the case and all those involved, and severely punish them according to the law without any leniency.

“Don’t make KL your paradise!”

In his statement, Lim also said that KL shouldn’t be a paradise for loan sharks to carry out their damaging acts as they please.

“The law enforcers must take immediate action to ensure a safe environment for the people.”

Last week, a similar incident took place in Puchong, in which a pet dog was also injured. The arsonist in Puchong, however, did not bother to cover up his face, unlike the recent incident in Kepong, where the arsonist had his entire face covered.
