With different states being in different phases now, we are faced with a lot of uncertainty when we want to get our official documents certified, renewed, etc as we do not know if it’s done on an appointment basis.
The Minister of Transport, Wee Ka Siong has said that JPJ and PUSPAKOM counters will open for walk-in starting from 6 September, reported BERNAMA in a tweet.
Those who wish to go to those counters must show that they are fully vaccinated and are low risk on their MySejahtera application. There will not be any more appointments.
The minister has also said in a media conference that people are encouraged to renew their road tax and license online through MYEG and MySikap JPJ.
Other than that, the renewal period for driving license and road tax has been extended till 31 December. Those with an expired licence will need to show that their vehicle insurance is still valid. To do so, they will need to carry the insurance e-cover note to show authorities when needed.
This will certainly be easier! However, always remember to double mask and sanitise regularly when you’re outside.
