We will always feel at ease when we not only have supportive friends and partners but also a supportive family. This family in Penang showed their support by taking it to another level – by being part of every major and minor celebration.
On a TikTok post by @protonpenang, Sharifah, a sales advisor recently shared a heartwarming and wholesome clip which shows an entire family of 12 coming to the Proton Centre for 1 small reason – to accompany a family member who was there to collect her brand new car. If you’re a bystander outside the place, you might’ve thought there was an ongoing celebration. In a way, the family was indeed celebrating an achieved milestone of Kavashini, 1 of the family members.
You can really see how happy everyone was for Kavashini. Most of them had their phones in their hands to record the “historical” moment, while Kavashini’s parents stood beside and smiled as they watched her signing the required documents.
Typically, a sales advisor often takes the pictures of the vehicle owner who receives their brand new car but in this case, the sales advisor and her client become the centre of attention.
After the signing of the documents, the entire family took some pictures together beside Kavashini’s new ride. Sharifah was also happy to be part of her client’s celebration, and she also took part in the photography session. Coincidentally, Sharifah was also wearing red which aligned with the family’s theme of the day.
“Common thing for us”
Sharifah’s post went viral on social media not long after she posted the TikTok clip, with many netizens amused by how supportive the family is. Some netizens also highlighted that it’s actually common within the community to celebrate both minor and major achievements.
“Same thing happens at the hospital. 1 person is warded but a whole village comes to visit.”
“I noticed Indian families have strong bonding, regardless of the situation.”
“This shows that the family bears no grudge against each other, they’re all happy to celebrate all achievements together.”
“This happens in graduation too! The entire family attends the convocation, and I respect how they do things.”
“I love seeing Indian family outings. They’ll bring their grandmothers along.”
“I love seeing them. They’re always dressed neatly. I have an Indian neighbour, and their house is always clean and tidy.”
