Ahhhhh, Slurpees! Back in our high school days, buying Slurpees was the IT thing to do after school. We would mix the flavours together and fill it to the brim to form pretty patterns. Then we’ll walk out of the store with triumphant looks on our faces.

Nowadays, most of us would turn to ice-cream or popsicles for an icy-cold treat, so 7-Eleven is stepping up their Slurpee game with a new flavour called Melon Frosty. Upon receiving the news, we bumbled our way to the nearest outlet and managed to get our hands on it.

Upon first inspection, we had a preconceived notion that all melon-flavoured foodstuff is green but this Slurpee is red in colour. The reason for that is they mixed up watermelon and cantaloupe together, which is not a bad idea and definitely refreshing.

After tasting it, it reminds us of another childhood snack that we loved, which is the watermelon-flavoured Bubble Yum mixed with a softer cantaloupe taste.

Only the cool kids ate this gum.

The Melon Frosty comes in 12 oz, 16 oz and 22 oz and it starts from RM2.30 onwards. In addition to Melon Frosty, the evergreen flavour, Tutti Frutti is also available. Melon Frosty is now available at 7-Eleven stores nationwide.
