No one loves holidays as much as we Malaysians do. I mean, just think about how many public holidays we have in a year in comparison to other countries! However, if you’re a working adult with a 9 to 5 job, the year-end school holiday isn’t likely to excite you as much. Instead, this is usually the time of year where you’d have to think about extra expenses, pesky errands, and loads of other ‘adulting’-related stuff.
If this is you, here are 7 you surely know!
1. You STILL have to wake up early and go to work when everyone else is just chilling at home or on holiday
The ultimate betrayal is when your friends who are still in college sengaja invite you out knowing full well that you’re currently working. JUST STAHP PLS!
2. Being the lone wolf in the workplace because your colleagues are on their annual leave
If you work in a small team, some of you unlucky ones would know the struggle of having to cover for your colleagues who already planned their annual leave to go travelling overseas. And there you are, alone, looking at their travel pictures on Insta like…
3. Coping with the tsunami of year-end campaigns
If you work in advertising and marketing, I bet you’re currently experiencing the familiar dread wonderful joy of holiday campaign briefs. It sure doesn’t help that most campaigns would usually have the same deadline too, which is usually before Christmas and New Year’s Day.
And when your boss asks if you’re okay, all you can say is:
4. Having to worry about how to lose all that holiday weight
As much as we love food, we can’t ignore the fact that we fear to gain TOO MUCH weight during the holiday season. It’s no wonder gyms are always jam-packed come the new year — we’re all trying to lose that holiday weight!
5. All those extra chores around the house!
Change the curtains, mop the floor, rearrange the furniture, tidy up your room, stock up on food — work doesn’t end even after you arrive home ?.
6. When you have to layan all your distant relatives at family gatherings
Aside from trying to avoid the typical onslaught of questions they’d typically throw at you — you know the ones: got BF/GF already not? When getting married, etc — you’d rather just be resting at home having some ‘me time’.
7. Not knowing where to go for the holiday
And when we FINALLY get some time off to spend time with our loved ones, we’re stuck trying to find a place or activity to do that everyone would love. Woe is our life ?Well, if this is you, might we suggest something we’re sure your entire family would enjoy?
If you didn’t know already, there’s an uber-cool indoor activity park that’s perfect for all ages right here in the Klang Valley!Known as SuperPark Malaysia, the activity park boasts 28 fun-filled activities in 3 themed areas for you and your family to enjoy.
Located in Avenue K Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur, what makes the park unique is that both adults and children can play alongside each other in fun and energising activities. You’ll also be accompanied by an experienced crew the whole time so it’s 100% safe!

And don’t get into thinking that it has nothing to offer the young crowd too, as our team recently visited the park and had a ball of fun interacting and working with one another to complete each activity.
Our personal favourites have got to be Superball and the Tube Slides, which tested our agility and athleticism while bringing out our competitive side.
That’s right, whether you’re a family with young kids, a teenager in high school, or in your twenties, there’s something suitable for everyone at SuperPark Malaysia regardless of age.
Aside from the fun activities, the indoor activity park also recently launched the SuperDayCamp designed for kids ages 4 to 9. In fact, it’s the only holiday camp in Malaysia that’s certified by Education Finland!
There are 2 camp types available 1-day and 3-days camp — which aim to nurture children’s responsibility, self-confidence and trust through engaging sporting activities.
More information can be found here.
And that’s not all! In the holiday spirit, the park will be transformed into a Finnish Winter Wonderland with festive decorations including in-park activities such as:
- Letter to Santa
- SuperElf Workshop
- and exciting festive Dance Along sessions
