7 Annoying Struggles All Working M’sians Will Surely Relate to Every Year-End School Holiday

No one loves holidays as much as we Malaysians do. I mean, just think about how many public holidays we have in a year in comparison to other countries! However, if you’re a working adult with a 9 to 5 job, the year-end school holiday isn’t likely to excite you as much. Instead, this is usually the time of year where you’d have to think about extra expenses, pesky errands, and loads of other ‘adulting’-related stuff.

1. You STILL have to wake up early and go to work when everyone else is just chilling at home or on holiday

The ultimate betrayal is when your friends who are still in college sengaja invite you out knowing full well that you’re currently working. JUST STAHP PLS! 

 

2. Being the lone wolf in the workplace because your colleagues are on their annual leave 

If you work in a small team, some of you unlucky ones would know the struggle of having to cover for your colleagues who already planned their annual leave to go travelling overseas.

3. Coping with the tsunami of year-end campaigns 

If you work in advertising and marketing, I bet you’re currently experiencing the familiar dread wonderful joy of holiday campaign briefs. It sure doesn’t help that most campaigns would usually have the same deadline too, which is usually before Christmas and New Year’s Day.

Our personal favourites have got to be Superball and the Tube Slides, which tested our agility and athleticism while bringing out our competitive side.
