A 6-year-old boy in Melaka got himself in a literal tight spot yesterday (27 November) after his head got stuck in the window of his home at Ujong Pasir’s Pangsapuri Pasir Puteri.
According to the Melaka Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), the boy tried to pass the house key to his father through the apartment’s 3rd-floor corridor as the front door was locked.
However, this caused his head and parts of his upper body to be stuck between the window panes. His father then tried to help by smashing the front door lock but it just ended up making the front door stuck and can’t be opened.
Hence, JBPM was called and a squad of firemen came to the house to help with the emergency situation.
As shared by the official JBPM Facebook page, firemen broke through the front door and found the boy stuck in the window.
JBPM added that the Ayer Keroh Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call regarding the incident at 1.10pm and rushed to the scene.
The operation commander, PBK II Mohd Nor bin Mohd Sheh in a statement said that they managed to release the boy from the window without causing any injuries in under 10 minutes.
