With the number of daily cases rising daily, many of us are getting more anxious.

Due to the power of the Internet, research, and education, our beliefs are now aligned to get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Taking to his weekly press conference, the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin has said that there will be five more mega-scaled vaccination centres in the Klang Valley from 7 June. The five soon-to-be mega vaccination centres are:

  1. The Mines Convention Centre (Selangor)
  2. Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Puncak Alam (Selangor)
  3. Setia City Convention Centre (Selangor)
  4. KL Convention Centre (Kuala Lumpur)
  5. Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil (Kuala Lumpur)

“Other than that, we will also be increasing the capacity at MITEC by opening up more vaccination stations and the hall.”

“Next week, I will be going to Penang and Johor to discuss the opening of a mega vaccination centre in each state. “

Other than mega centres, the minister has also said that 2,500 private doctors have registered to be able to vaccinate the people and 1,800 of them have completed the training to do so.

“We target 500 general practitioners to be able to start vaccinating starting 15 June and 1,000 clinics can be changed into vaccination centres before 30 June.”

“With this, we estimate that private general practitioners along with private hospitals will be able to give 40,000 shots of vaccine per day by the end of June.”

We certainly hope that more people can be vaccinated as soon as possible!
