A 48-year-old man died earlier today (29 September) after his motorcycle crashed into a wild animal that suddenly ran across the road in front of a mosque in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu.
The victim, identified as Azhar Yusof, was riding near Masjid Merangan when the collision happened.

He hit a wild boar that was crossing the road
According to Sinar Harian, Kuala Terengganu District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Azli Mohd Noor, said they got a call from the public about the crash around 6:30 AM.
He explained that the engineer was on his way from his home in Kampung Bukit Berangan to the village mosque for Subuh prayers when the accident happened.
“Early checks show the victim’s motorcycle hit an animal, believed to be a wild boar, that was crossing the road from the left,” he said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene
Azli Mohd said the victim suffered serious injuries in the crash and sadly died at the scene.
The body has been sent to Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital (HSNZ) for further action, and the case is now being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
