A foreign tourist has been arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand, in connection with a viral explicit video filmed in Phuket.
The man, a 23-year-old Russian national known as Georgii, is believed to be the man seen in the viral video, which shows a couple engaging in a sex act on the back of a black pickup truck driving along a bypass road in Muang district, Phuket, on Wednesday night (24 September).

According to the Thai-based publication Bangkok Post, the 15-second viral clip shows a foreign man holding the waist of a woman from behind while she holds a rope tied to a bar on the bed of the moving pickup truck.
The suspect was believed to be on his way out of the country when he was apprehended by the authorities. Specifically, Thai immigration officers located him at around 3:45 PM on Thursday (25 September) and questioned him at the Suvarnabhumi Airport before preparing to turn him over to Phuket police.

Previously, Muan Phuket police station chief Pol Col Chatree Chukaew recommended that the country’s Immigration Bureau revoke the foreign suspect’s visa and place him on a blacklist, barring future entry into Thailand.
Meanwhile, Phuket tourist police chief Pol Lt Col Ekachai Siri asserted that if the offenders were caught, they would face charges of public indecency, and if the video was created and distributed as online content, they could be prosecuted under the country’s Computer Crime Act.
The Phuket police also found that the suspect had a history of posting explicit videos on social media.

Besides that, the Thai police had also identified the woman seen in the video, who is a 42-year-old Thai national working in Phuket.
She told the police that she was paid THB1,000 or ~RM130 for creating the content for Russian viewers.
In Thailand, those who perform an obscene act in a public place can be fined up to THB5,000 (~RM655).
