2 Faculty of Accountancy students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) made the education institution and our country proud after they both ranked 2nd in the world in The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) examinations for March 2024.

The students, Nur Ilhan Nurina binti Mohd Oslan of UiTM Shah Alam and Muhammad Fawwaz Mohammad Masrin of UiTM Tapah both placed 1st in Malaysia and 2nd in the world for Audit and Assurance (AA) and Management Information (MA1) respectively.

Congratulations Nur Ilhan and Muhammad Fawwaz for your amazing achievements!

In a congratulatory post by the Faculty of Accountancy UiTM, Nur Ilhan was revealed to have won the Top ACCA Prize winner for March 2024, while Muhammad Fawwaz won the Top ACCA FIA Prize winner.

As reported by Harian Metro, UiTM in a statement lauded the 2 students’ achievements, saying that their consistency made a positive impact and motivated fellow students, families, faculty, UiTM and Malaysians in general.

The statement added that its Faculty of Accountancy, the largest accountancy faculty in the country, holds a significant responsibility and every year, the faculty produces approximately 50% of accountancy graduates among all public universities in Malaysia.

UiTM’s Faculty of Accountancy have been producing top-notch students

This is not the 1st time that accountancy students from UiTM have left a mark in the ACCA examinations either.

Last year, a UiTM Perak foundation in accountancy student recorded the highest score for the Recording Financial Transactions (FA1) in Malaysia and the 2nd highest in the world for the March 2023 ACCA examinations.

In the same March 2023 ACCA examinations, a UiTM Shah Alam student recorded the highest score in Malaysia and 3rd in the world for the Paper Performance Management exam.

Awesome! Congratulations to both Nur Ilhan and Muhammad Fawwaz for their achievements.

Let’s hope that the result will be a catalyst for them to further strive for success and motivate other Malaysians to excel in their endeavours.
