12yo Girl Taken to Hospital After Being Robbed at Knifepoint by Unknown Man in Sepang

A 12-year-old girl was injured after being robbed at knifepoint in Sepang yesterday (August 8).

According to Sinar Harian, Sepang District Deputy Police Chief, Superintendent G. K. Shan Gopal, confirmed that they received a report about the incident from the victim’s father at 5:03 PM.

She sustained multiple injuries from the incident

According to him, the complainant was alerted to the incident by a neighbour after it occurred at the victim’s own home.

The girl sustained multiple injuries during the incident and was later taken to the hospital for treatment.

“The victim suffered injuries to her face, neck, and head before being taken to the hospital by a neighbour. She is currently in stable condition and did not sustain any serious injuries,” he said.

Suspect used a knife that was taken from her home

Shan Gopal said the suspect, believed to be in his 40s, used a knife taken from the victim’s home.

He also urged the public not to speculate or spread false information about the case.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code.
