Thailand’s Tourism and Sports Minister Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol asserted that she anticipates a continued rise in foreign visitors to the country.

This is due to several factors such as the end of Ramadan, which is expected to trigger a surge in tourists from Malaysia, as well as free-visa agreements with several nations.

Overall, her Ministry is setting an ambitious target of 40 million foreign tourist arrivals this year, over 12 million more than the total arrivals last year.

Moreover, the country is targeting an income of THB3 trillion from both domestic and foreign tourists in 2024.
