So guys, Touch ‘n Go released an app that’s finally available for download on iOS and Android. Naturally, everyone’s curious as to what this app can do, and most importantly – if we can reload our cards online using this app.
Well, according to their website, the brand new app has expanded on some of its features involving the actual card and the RFID tag.
Many users may be pleased to know that among its new features is transferring funds to their physical Touch ‘n Go cards. Well, not directly, lah!
The fund transfer can be done via a terminal called Pick Up Device. This is where their e-wallet feature comes into play.
First, in order for a fund transfer to happen, users will need to reload their e-wallet in the app itself.
Once there is enough money in the wallet, users will then have to find a nearby Pick Up Device terminal (which is reportedly in “strategic locations“). Users have up to 24 hours to complete the transfer before it expires.
Once at the terminal, users can then transfer funds from their e-wallet to their physical card. Hmm… seems like a bit of a hassle if you ask us!
On top of that, the new app isn’t really linked with the MyTouchnGo portal, so users will have to register for a new account in the app and fill in their particulars like their MyKad number and address.
