The restaurant, Mr Boom Naan Corner Restaurant 1983 at AU5, Keramat, has always been popular among locals thanks to its affordable breakfast and lunch buffet but it is stepping up a notch this Merdeka month.
Happening throughout this August, the restaurant is offering a lunch buffet for only RM10 per person!
Part of the restaurant owner, 62-year-old Parwiz Kaur’s way to show his love for the country, the lunch buffet includes 25 to 30 varieties of delectable dishes.
The lunch buffet is from 11.30am to 3pm every Monday to Friday and excludes drinks. For reference, the normal price for the lunch buffet is RM15.

For the buffet, the menu will change every day and the dishes are cooked by 2 chefs and their 2 assistants, using the owner’s own recipe.
Among others, patrons can expect a variety of Malay dishes such as ikan masak kicap, ketam masam manis, bambo lala, ikan kembung masak lemak cili api, ikan patin masak tempoyak andĀ cucur. Besides that, the restaurant also offers a special menu of fried naan bread or Bhatura eaten with dhal and keema.
While customers enjoy their meals, they will also be entertained by live performances by buskers at the restaurant, which can seat up to 700 people at a time.

If you’re an early bird, Mr Boom Naan Corner Restaurant 1983 also offers a breakfast buffet at just RM7 per person. On Merdeka Day (31 August) itself, the lunch buffet promo would be extended from 7am to 11pm.
