With National Day fast approaching, the government is scrambling to prepare an amazing Merdeka Day parade for all Malaysians and others alike to enjoy.
However, for that to happen, they’ll have to take a couple of days to prepare and rehearse. Due to that, there will be several road closures in Putrajaya.
The Merdeka360 Facebook page recently shared the list of roads that will be closed from August 27 (Tuesday) until August 31 (Saturday).
They wrote, “The following is the information related to the closure of main roads around Putrajaya in conjunction with the preparations and celebration of the 2024 National Day. Road users passing through the area are requested to be careful and obey safety signs for a smooth and safe journey.”
The road closures are split into 2 categories of different dates:
August 27 (Tuesday) to August 29 (Thursday), from 5am to 11am:
- Laman Perdana
- Lebuh Wawasan / Jalan Tun Abdul Razak
- Lebuh Bestari / Jalan Tun Abdul Razak
- Jalan P2K / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan Pembangunan / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan P3C / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan P3F / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan Kemerdekaan / Jalan P3G
- Jalan P4B / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan Setia / Jalan Perpaduan
- Lebuh Perpaduan / Lebuh Saujana
- Lingkaran Gemilang 1 / Persiaran Perdana
- Lebuh Saujana / Jalan Tun Hussein
- Lebuh Setia / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan Kemerdekaan / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan Pembangunan / Persiaran Perdana
- Jalan P2P / Persiaran Perdana
