It’s unfortunate that many of us are unable to throw birthday parties for our friends during the Movement Control Order (MCO), but nothing was going to stop these girls who decided to bring the party to their friend instead!

Ah Nick posted on Facebook how she planned a birthday surprise for her friend, Kui Eng, by customising a poster and placing it on a lorry which was sent right to her doorstep in Kuching, Sarawak.

On the poster, was an unflattering picture of Kui Eng and the words,

“I’m sorry, our girl friend! Due to the pandemic, we cannot arrange a celebration dinner, so we have to give you a big gift!”

Another poster on the other side of the lorry read,

“Happy birthday Cheng Kui Eng, our best friend! FB: Kui Eng.”

The lorry that Ah Nick rented was then sent throughout the neighbourhood as the loudspeakers blasted birthday wishes to Kui Eng.

When the lorry finally arrived at Kui Eng’s house, the birthday girl was speechless. But that wasn’t all, as there were more gifts inside the lorry as well!

After opening the back of the lorry, Kui Eng found a bunch of gifts including a bouquet of pucuk manis and a Michael Kors handbag!

Kudos to these girls who found a creative way to surprise their friend on her birthday during the MCO! What do you think about this?
