After a roller-coaster saga that had spanned almost an entire week for S. Pavithra and M. Sugu’s family, the Malaysian YouTube cooking sensation has apparently announced that she will no longer be doing any videos for YouTube and are severing all ties with the video platform moving forwards.

Sugu pavithra’s youtube channel was devoid of content.

This follows after Pavithra’s famed YouTube cooking channel was found depleted of content entirely yesterday evening, leading to many wondering what was the motivation behind the sudden purge.

“We did that (deleting the videos) as we do not want to have anything to do with YouTube anymore. Please just allow us to lead normal lives as a family.

There are other cooking YouTubers who are incredible, yet why are we the ones who have the limelight? Let us focus on family life instead.” they said when contacted by local newspaper Sinar Harian.

The future of the family remains largely undecided, as their YouTube earnings have been the family’s main source of income since Sugu left his job to help Pavithra with her content. S. Pavithra, who caught nationwide attention since the beginning of this year for her YouTube videos, has received multiple accolades for her successes, including recognition by both the Ipoh City Council as well as our very own Prime Minister.

Her YouTube career has allowed her small family of four to move out from their first home on an estate farm where her husband M. Sugu used to work to a newly rented home not far away. However, things took a turn when Sugu was found to have abused Pavithra outside of  Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital’s parking space on Tuesday (21st July 2020) evening, beating her with both a cellphone and a sickle.

As of right now, Pavithra’s YouTube channel remains strong with over 785,000 subscribers.

We hope that Pavithra has made the right decision for her family, and wish the family nothing but the best in their efforts to turn their attention back to family life.
