With the upsurge of COVID-19 scaring the bejeebers out of Malaysians in recent times, the increase in sales of face masks and hand sanitizers is expected especially when the World Health Organization themselves swore that frequent and consistent hand hygiene is key to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
However, supply today is unable to keep up with demand, having witnessed several pharmacies announcing that they are out of face masks and hand sanitizers.
To show just how scared we Malaysians are of COVID-19 and how we are more aware of our hand hygiene nowadays, a video witnessing Malaysians lining up outside of a pharmacy in Subang Jaya caught the attention of SJ Echo, who caught the act on tape.
Of course, if you were to ask anyone who’s familiar with SS15, they would most probably say that people there would brave the scorching sun and line up just to get their boba tea, but today it is an entirely different story.
According to netizens commenting on the video, the long line was attributed to the pharmacy’s recent face mask restock that just arrived on the premises.
Well, for whatever reason, if you are looking out to restock your COVID-19 survival kit, make the trip to SS15 to get your stock of face masks and hand sanitizers.
To avoid wasting valuable resources such as facemasks during the spread of COVID-19, we advise Malaysians to follows guidelines set by WHO and MOH in regards to the use of facemasks.
