Recently, you might’ve noticed a lot of your friends sharing a post by YouTube superstar MrBeast holding a bucketload of USD notes on their Instagram Story.
For those that are unaware of who MrBeast is and what the post is about, well, it’s basically the biggest YouTuber in the world doing a USD10,000 or RM44,745 cash giveaway to 10 people in the world that follow his Instagram account, share the post on Instagram Story and tagging someone in the comments section.
Well, for someone that has over 152 million subscribers on YouTube and is one of the most popular internet personalities in the world, it’s statistically easier to win most lotteries than be selected as one of the 10 winners in the giveaway.
While Instagram removed the post, MrBeast went ahead with the giveaway and announced the winners yesterday (11 May) and this Singaporean woman couldn’t believe her eyes when it was revealed that he was one of the 10 winners of the giveaway!
Second on the list of winners, Instagram user @meyyen_ or her real name, Sheryl Tan shared the MrBeast’s Instagram Story of her winning the giveaway by saying that she was hyperventilating when her profile popped up as a winner.
Tan, who is a visual artist created an artwork based on MrBeast’s giveaway post which may have drawn the attention of the YouTube superstar.
