During this MCO/CMCO many people have lost their jobs while some have been temporarily laid off. In a nutshell, the financial situation for some people is not that great. To combat that, these people have come up with some awesome ideas!
These six siblings were stuck at their kampung ever since the beginning of the MCO in March and as they were there for a bit too long, they brainstormed for an idea to earn extra income.
“Using what we had, we thought of making pizzas with wood fire. We have been using the stone oven for a while now to make pizzas and bake bread for our family.’
The mastermind behind this business is none other than the oldest sibling Raudhah Hassan, 35. Raudhah told Bernama that they started selling their smokey pizzas five days before Ramadan (19th April) and they never thought it would go viral.
“We came to a consensus that our pizzas should be Cash on Delivery as we want more people to taste and enjoy them.”
He also mentioned that his younger brother Hamzah came up with the recipe as he is quite the baker. That makes Hamzah the head chef while the other siblings help prepare the toppings, bake the pizza, pack them and deliver them!
“We chose to use this traditional method because the pizza produced is more unique and aromatic. In addition to that, it only takes a minute and in a day we can make up to 350 pizzas!”
Raudhah noted that in the beginning, they only sold it to people in the village but somehow or rather, it went viral on social media. Lots of people who have ordered the RM15 pizza swear that it is really good and value for money. Raudhah said that they will be continuing this business even when the MCO/ CMCO has ended.
