Beijing Morning Post reported that a Shanghai company has vacancies for “professional sleepers” and are looking for suitable candidates. The Shanghai company is a dietary supplement manufacturer and they describe the job scope of a “professional sleeper”. It primarily involves consuming their products, going to sleep and then writing a report about their experience. Sounds like it’s just right up my alley!

You will be tasked with putting yourself on various sleep schedules as they want to find out how the products work on people with different sleeping times, based on the types of various occupations.

That’s not all, the employer is reportedly offering a cool 100,000 RMB (RM64,348) a year for this position! Candidates only need to have a passion and love for sleeping to qualify.
