Sg Buloh Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty After Spray-Painting Caged Monkey

A man in Sg Buloh may face animal cruelty charges after a disturbing video surfaced showing him spray-painting a captured monkey with blue paint, while being recorded by his friends.

The video, which has circulated widely on social media, has drawn significant attention from netizens and prompted further investigation into the incident.

In the video which has gone viral a user shared updates in regards to the case.

“Update 1: The monkey has been trapped by PERHILITAN for relocation. There is no need for residents to harm it. The location of the incident has been confirmed to be near Desa Moccis, Sg BulohSg Pelong Police have been informed,” they shared.

“Update 2: I’ve contacted the police station regarding the monkey’s current condition and will take the necessary action to protect the animal and hold the perpetrator accountable.”

In another update, they stated that the individuals had apparently opened the cage after spray-painting the monkey. “It may be attacked by other monkeys if it re-enters the jungle. This is a vile and evil act. The monkey may also suffer from respiratory issues due to the paint.”

“Update 4: This evil creature has been detained by the police.”

Netizens were outraged by the actions of the individuals involved. Many expressed concern for the monkey’s well-being and applauded the swift response by authorities in detaining the suspect.
