It appears that in Malaysia, hygiene and cleanliness is not exactly our stronger suit, as there have been plenty of times where Malaysians have left hotels rooms and rented houses in a condition equal to a dumpster.

Just because housekeepers and cleaners are paid to their jobs, it doesn’t necessarily mean that we shouldn’t at least leave the place we’re leaving in a decent state.

Recently, a video of a hotel room which was left in a terrible state was shared on social media where it has since gone viral.

In the video, a collage of pictures as well as video of the room was shared.Β Trash was littered everywhere, food and drinks were left out in the open and in excess, and actual blood had stained the bedsheets.

It seemed like the guests were celebrating a birthday because of the balloons which they left in the pool and around the room.

The caption of the post reads, β€œIf you want to come, you’re welcome. But if you stay at a hotel, don’t behave like this. Pity the housekeeping staff. Hotel location is in Telok Kumbar (Penang).”

Report the monkeys!

The video has gone viral and plenty of netizens have commented and shared their thoughts on the matter. A couple of them labelled the perpetrators as wild animals who have no manners.

“These are the dirty types of people. Their house must be like a broken ship.”

“A group of monkeys have attacked, the victim have since reported the matter for further investigation,” said a user sarcastically.

Meanwhile, other users urged the hotel owners to take action against them and punish the perpetrators.
