In the CCTV recording, the culprit was seen to have parked his motorbike nearby, walked to the toilet area and called his victim who was playing with her cousin in the vicinity of the surau. When she went there, he hugged her from behind and ran his hand down her pants.

Shocked, the girl ran from the toilet and the culprit also fled from the surau. Kuala Muda deputy police chief superintendent Shamsudin Mamat told Awani,
“The incident happened at about 6.30pm. The victim complained to the father who then went to the police to report about the incident.”

The police also explained that the victim was not injured and that they are doing an investigation on the matter, requesting for the public to provide them with any information which could help them catch this pedophile.
