Bullying is awful for the victims, but it usually gets even worse for the perpetrators who go viral in the videos that get uploaded. That said, stamping out bullying is much harder than it should be, and people still experience bullying, like this teenage boy in Malaysia.
In a clip that was heavily circulated in social media on Monday evening, a taller boy, suspected to be in his teenage years, can be seen teasing a boy much younger and smaller than him by the side of a stone bench. He repeatedly makes obscene gestures towards the victim, as if attempting to provoke him. Another voice can also be heard in the background, encouraging the bully and hurling verbal abuse.

Throughout the incident, the younger boy can be seen with his head bowed, sobbing loudly and trying to protect himself from the teenage boy’s verbal assaults. Worse still, the bully spits at his victim, and just when the victim is about to wipe the spit off his face, the bully does it again. What was he thinking?!
According to Kwong Wah, netizens believe that the video was recorded by a friend of the perpetrator, who is said to be the voice in the background. Once the video spread like wildfire, enraged netizens called for the identities of the bullies to be found out, and for police to launch an investigation into the incident so that proper action could be taken against them.
While the exact location of the video was not revealed, eagle-eyed viewers raised suspicions that it might have taken place somewhere in Kepong. Here are some thoughts from the comments section:
(Translation: This ‘brother’ should try (picking) on someone of the same size, then we’ll see how he fares)
(Translation: What a shame that his parents gave birth to a cow)
(Translation: Come on Malaysians. Find this cow. If we get him, we can congregate and spit on him)
(Translation: Since he’s so good at fighting, why not try out for MMA (Mixed martial arts) )
(Translation: The bully’s dad should come out and apologise quickly, ha ha ha (a reference to the other recent case of bullying in Malaysia) )
We feel so bad for the young boy! Even though some may just brush it off as harmless roughhousing between school boys, it’s definitely unacceptable to us, and we’re hoping that the bully’s parents will give their son a good talking to once they find out.
