The body of a man, who is believed to have been dead for more than 2 days, was found inside his car that was involved in an accident at the Bukit Jalil Highway. The car was discovered to have plunged into a ditch.
According to a report by Berita Harian, a team of firefighters from the Puchong Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the location after receiving a report of the incident at 3:01pm yesterday afternoon (June 24). They arrived at the scene to help remove the victim’s body from the car.
The Director of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Selangor, Wan Razali Wan Ismail shared that the accident involved a white BMW 528i.
“The vehicle involved is believed to have skidded and overturned into a drain. There is a local male victim in the car and it is believed that he has been dead for more than 60 hours,” he said.
Prior to this, the victim’s family had taken to Facebook to locate the victim, as he was uncontactable since early last Saturday morning (June 22). They also filed a missing person’s report at the Sungai Way Police Station in Petaling Jaya.
China Press shared that the victim was at a meeting with a client at Icon City in Kelana Jaya. He then planned to meet his colleagues at a bar in Bukit Jalil, and they all drove themselves there in separate cars but the victim never showed up.
It was later discovered that the 42-year-old man had a heart attack while driving, leading to the accident.
