We’ve seen e-hailing drivers having to endure all kinds of passengers, but never have we seen someone actually jump out of a moving e-hailing vehicle to avoid making payment.
That was the unfortunate incident an e-hailing driver in Selangor had to endure, and then he received the same passenger again!
The Kedah Kini Facebook page recently shared Ahmad Azahari’s story, where he had picked up the same passenger who had once jumped out of his moving car to avoid paying for the ride, for the second time on a different e-hailing platform.
He wrote, “To all (platform A) drivers, today I had this Sabahan male passenger from Bukit Tinggi, Klang, who wanted to go to RHB Bank Bandar Baru, Sungai Buloh. Before this, I had received this passenger from (platform B), when we arrived at RHB Bank Bandar Baru, Sungai Buloh, we immediately ran off without paying, I made a report to (platform B) and received a refund.”
“Today, he ordered (his ride) via (platform A) probably because (platform B) blocked him, from the beginning I was suspicious that this was the same passenger who had cheated me before. So, I moved the front seat so that the camera can record his full face.”
What makes this whole situation more odd is that the passenger then asked to lend RM100 from Ahmad Azahari, and told him that once they reach his destination, the passenger’s sister will pay him back in full.
While he agreed to the proposition, Ahmad Azahari instead drove the passenger to a nearby police station and when the passenger noticed this, you can imagine what he did next.
“When I was just about to enter the police station premises, he jumped (out of the moving car). My intention was to just catch this scammer because I’ve already been cheated by him on (platform B).”
“So, to all drivers, please be careful of this passenger,” he added.
We genuinely hope that all e-hailing platforms ban this passenger to prevent him from scamming anymore drivers.
