The quintessential Malaysian dish, nasi lemak can be eaten anytime and anywhere but this 1 man’s rather unorthodox time and place to eat the national dish caught the attention of netizens recently.
Taking to TikTok, the man, @ahmdsalim81 shared how he literally took eating nasi lemak to new heights in a video which has garnered over 114,000 views and more than 2,200 likes as of the time of writing.

At the start of the video, @ahmdsalim81 showed his POV of eating a pack of nasi lemak from what looks like a high vantage point.
After taking a bite of the delicious meal, he then panned the camera almost 360 degrees to show that he was actually on top of a telco tower at Bandar Botanik in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
@ahmdsalim81 then showed how he was sitting on top of the telco tower with harnesses, while the nasi lemak could barely fit on top of the tower’s pole, before continuing to eat.
In the caption, he wrote,

‘Kayangan’-level breakfast?
In the comments section, many Malaysians were awed by the feat, with some commenters with Acrophobia shaking just by seeing the video.
One commenter jested that @ahmdsalim81 was eating a ‘kayangan’-level breakfast, to which he jokingly agreed, revealing that the nasi lemak costs RM3, while the skylift bringing him up there was RM1,000.
Meanwhile, a few commenters said that the height @ahmdsalim81 was at while eating the nasi lemak bungkus was too extreme for them, as they’re scared of heights.
