There’s no doubt that Malaysia has some of the best kinds of food that we all cannot live without, and this is proven when people from other countries love our food too!
Our Nasi Lemak Bunga Telang was the star dish of a prestigious culinary competition held in Dublin, Ireland, and the chef was none other than one of our very own fellow Malaysians!
Siti Safura Mohd Tawil, who now lives in Ottawa, Ontario, took part in the Chef Ireland Culinary Competition 2020 organised by The Panel of Chefs of Ireland and won first place in the Asian-Indian cuisine competition class.
She shared with WORLD OF BUZZ that she was awarded a gold medal during the competition held on the 4th and 5th of February at the Food & Bev Live 2020 exhibition.
This competition was held in hopes of helping culinarians hone their craft by putting their skills and knowledge to the test in a competitive format.
“Thank you to Malaysian Ambassador TYT Encik Zakaria Nasir and wife Puan Junainah for your endless support,” Safura wrote in a Facebook post.
“Also thank you to Chef Boy, Chef Fauzan, Dr. Esa and Sir Razman for your advices and opinion. Really appreciate it!”
Congrats Safura! I’m sure you’ll continue to do wonders with your delicious dishes and we cannot wait to see you win more competitions!
